Now I'm implementing ideas from previous years.

In almost every film I am now there with my voice as narrator and accompany the tour from the off. In addition, there is background information and one or two nice stories.

Parallel to this, films are made under the motto "A round of local history", where I tell legends and fairy tales from the Alb foothills to go with the tour.

Despite a pandemic with lockdown and curfews, many tours succeed and the multi-day tours can also be carried out. With 44 films, I even surpass the result of the previous year. This makes 2020 the most productive year so far - at least as far as films are concerned. Despite a serious health setback in October, the release schedule continues into the following year.

From Kirchheim by bike to Reichenbach and further by train to Amstetten. From there we follow the longest dry valley in Germany via Urspring and Westerstetten to Hürben. There we take a detour into the Eselsburg valley and visit the Stone Virgins. The route continues through the Brenz Valley via Herbrechtingen to Heidenheim.

Another resounding success:

Cycling is becoming more and more popular in Kirchheim. For the seventh time already, the "critical mass" is making its rounds through Kirchheim. Many cyclists draw attention to the need for a traffic turnaround and thus strengthen cycling.

For a few hours, it was possible to experience almost paradisiacal cycling infrastructure on a short section. Apparently they don't dare to do more in Stuttgart. On top of that, a spontaneous, steep tour into the Stuttgart mountains.

For the sixth time already, a critical mass of cyclists moves through Kirchheim to draw attention to the existing plight of the cycling infrastructure. Note the fade-ins during crazy acoustic interludes by particularly stupid car drivers.

Game of Toiletpaper 🎉 Virtual Alleycat

A virtual scavenger hunt - with a real tour
Special release due to the upcoming VELOWeek Alleycat, which takes place from 17 June to 20 June in Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg and nationwide. I made this film for the virtual Alleycat "Game of Toiletpaper", which took place on 17 May. The film describes the course of the bicycle scavenger hunt, shows the upcoming tasks and presents the collected points. In addition, there is a cycling tour to cultural sights in the Alb foothills - just for the fun of it. Note also the German and English subtitles, in which I have hidden a few small additional trivialities.
With this cinematic masterpiece I won first prize in the nationwide "Game of Toiletpaper".

The legend of the giant of Heimenstein is still alive today in the communities around the ruins of Reußenstein. It tells of the construction of the castle and the brave journeyman locksmith who hammered in the last nail and thus earned his heart's wife.

A Critical Mass ride is a tourist attraction. It bundles civic commitment and is the best advertising is the best advertisement for a city. Supporting such a movement is a sure sign that a city is on its way to becoming a safe, modern and sustainable city. Kirchheim would have the best prerequisites, but it stubbornly refuses.
